On Monday, September 17th the Brown County Girls Golf Team finished third in the IHSSA sectional, qualifying them for regionals.
This is the first time the the Girls Golf Team has qualified for regionals since “the first time since the program’s inception,” Brad Baughman, BCHS Golf Coach, writes.
“I would say that we all work very well together and have great coaches to teach and guide us along the way,” Ashley Masteller, a nineteen-year-old BCHS Senior, also the team captain, said when asked about what traits possessed by the soccer team made them able to reach this height of success.

Regionals were on Saturday, September 22 at Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery, Indiana.
The Girls’ Golf team finished fourteenth out of eighteenth with a score of 409, which doesn’t qualify them for state. Ashley Masteller had the top score of the team with an 89. Allison Stogsdill scored a 99. Ainslie Winton scored a 109. Taylor Poling had a final score of 112. Abby Padgett finished with a 135
