It’s not everyday that a national representative takes the time to meet with High School Students, especially for a length of time. On Friday, October 4, Indiana District 9 Congressman Trey Hollingsworth toured Brown County High School; and met with AP Government and AP Economics students, to field questions about current affairs and affairs at the Capitol Building.
Hollingsworth is currently a two term Congressman, and has proposed and advocated for bills to incur term limits on Congress members.
After meeting with the High School students, Hollingsworth went up the Brown County Junior High School, to tour the new Makerspace Lab, and meet with the 8th Grade “We The People” Team.
Once done with his second Q&A, Hollingsworth return to the High School and toured BCHS’ student run manufacturing business, Eagle Manufacturing. He asked many questions of Advisor Chris Townsend and students, and was proud to have such an innovative program within his district.
After the tour, Hollingsworth was gifted an Eagle Manufacturing polo, and a picture was taken with the Eagle Manufacturing Team.
