This Monday, November 25, there will be a planned 2-hour delay for all Brown County Schools. Duke Energy will be conducting a planned electrical outage for the Nashville area from 11 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, through 6 a.m. on Monday, November 25.

According to Superintendent Dr. Laura Hammack, the 2-hour delay is needed β€œin order to ensure that our Nashville campus buildings have adequate time to warm up, our kitchens have enough time to prepare breakfast, and our buses are able to travel through roads intended for overnight/morning closure.”

For any questions or concerns directed to Duke Energy, their contact number is 800-820-9362 and email is MidwestTransmission@duke-energy.com

Students will return to normality the following Tuesday, as school will begin at usual time. However, Thanksgiving Break does take place during that same week. School will be out of session that Wednesday, November 27, through Friday, November 29.
